TUCSON SONG CIRCLE

BIG CHANGES, BIG GRATITUDE

Dear beautiful humans,

Before I get into the heart of this message, I want to begin with such gratitude for each of you. Whether you sing with us most weeks, drop in occasionally, or hold a desire in your heart to join us "someday", it has been an honor and a delight to join my voice with yours for the past 6 years. I feel so grateful for each of you - your tender, powerful, vulnerable, and sovereign hearts and voices - and I hope to continue singing together for years to come.

It is from this place - with appreciation and faith that the singing will continue - that I share a decision that feels both deeply alive and deeply tender. With great reverence and care, I'm choosing to bring the current iterations of Monsoon Seed Choir and the Second Saturday Song Circle to a close.

This magical Tucson Song Circle community means more to me than I can express, and from what many of you have shared, it means a lot to you, too. Since the community belongs to all of us, I hope that each of us will continue to find and create ways to keep singing together. I have some ideas cooking, and will share here when they are ready to take form.

The wonderful Liz Rog recently shared this beautiful map of the journey of song carriers toward service and singers toward belonging. I invite you to contemplate these paths and your own progress along them. Maybe it’s time to take the next step in your journey.

If you are feeling called to take over the coordination and administration needed to sustain the Thursday evening and Second Saturday drop-in offerings and carry them forward, please reach out. And if you create other ways to sing together, please let me know, and I will add them to the TSC calendar.

I am planning to keep this website online as a resource, calendar, and song library for at least the next year. If you use the website regularly and would like to make a reciprocity offering to help offset the costs of web hosting and maintenance (around $400 per year), you are welcome to send financial support via PayPal or Venmo.

Stay tuned for more information about the next chapter, and please do come sing with me Thursday 8/6 for one final circle at the Waldorf School as we love up and let go of this form of Monsoon Seed Choir/Second Saturday Song Circle.

With deep love & gratitude,

Juliana
